This is a big chess set in Cathedral Square, Waterford. I always move a piece whenever I walk through there, I don’t know if I’ve ever won.

Very cool! I know all the rules of chess… I blogged about it last year 😉

I usually play both sides, walking up and back again. Maybe I should go when other people are there, and play a game.

My nerdy son was captain of the high school chess team for his last 2 years at school, so when he got a new chess set for Christmas I agreed to play him. Bearing in mind that he was going to State for chess tournament and all I wasn’t holding out much hope that I’d win… But I did! I haven’t played him again since. I like to quit on a high 😉

You can’t call him nerdy, because he plays chess. Far worse things he could be doing.

No, he’s nerdy for other reasons… But he’s also proud to be a nerd. And I’m proud of him for being nerdy 😉

I really like the angle you used and how the image includes the large face painted on the wall in the background. 👍❣

Thanks. When they first painted it, for the Waterford Walls project, I found it quite disturbing, but it has grown on me.
